Lakeland Veterinary Hospital has been
providing quality service to the Brainerd lakes area for over 30
years. Our award-winning facility was designed and built in 2000
by local architects with the purpose of providing our patients
with a clean and comfortable environment.
Our professional staff is dedicated to
providing your pet with the best medical attention available. We
strive to provide your pet with the same level of professional
and compassionate care that we would expect for our own pets.
(Between us, we have over 50 pets, so you know we love animals!)
We would like to encourage you to call our
hospital with any questions or concerns you may have about your
pet. Individual and group tours of our hospital and boarding
facility are available upon request. |

|
Where is your
hospital located? |
|
|
The hospital is located off Hwy 371 on Woida Road, right behind Arby's
and next to Comfort Suites Motel.
 |
 |
|
What are your
hours of operation? |
|
|
Hospital Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm Additional
Boarding Hours: Saturday 8am-11am and Sunday 10am-11am and
2pm-4pm. To allow adequate time for all patients and scheduled
surgical procedures, we operate by appointments only. Like
humans, pets don't always synchronize their illness with
appointment books. When an emergency arises, delays are
inevitable. Please understand this and realize we make every
attempt to see appointments on time. A phone call is greatly
appreciated if a scheduled appointment needs to be changed. |

AAHA Certified |
|
|
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)
establishes exacting standards for veterinary practices. AAHA
fosters professionalism and excellence in all phases of hospital
operations. To become an AAHA-accredited hospital, our pet
health care team must comply with AAHA's strict standards. We
take great pride in having met these difficult standards.
These standards pertain to all areas of the
practice including accurate record keeping, diagnostic
capabilities, appropriate anesthesia, sterile surgical
procedures, preventative medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, proper
housekeeping and emergency care.
Visit AAHA's website at
www.healthypet.com for more information. |

What should I do if there is an emergency and your clinic isn't
open? |
|
|
If you have an emergency outside of our
regular office hours, simply call
our number at 829-1709 to hear a recorded message that
will tell you how to reach the answering service. Please leave
them your first AND last name, phone number and the nature of
the emergency. A veterinarian will be
notified of your emergency and will promptly return your call at the
number provided. Please wait to hear from the vet before
leaving for the hospital, and please make sure your phone line
is open to receive the call. |
 |
|
What are
the terms and methods of payment? |
|
|
We make every effort to be sure we provide
your pet with the most up-to-date medical and surgical care. Our
fees reflect this and are considered fair and reasonable. Unlike
human hospitals, the facilities and equipment here are provided
entirely by private enterprise. You will be given an itemized
receipt after services are provided. Estimates from the doctor
are available upon request for any anticipated medical care.
For our client's convenience, we do accept
personal checks, CareCredit
(with a minimum of $100), Visa, MasterCard and Discover. A deposit is
required when pets are left in the hospital. All accounts must
be paid in full before your pet can be discharged. Where this
credit policy may compromise the health of your pet, and where
credit history is acceptable, extended payments may be arranged
with the Office Manager. |
